October 17-18, 2026 | Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa | Sheffield, England
Sometimes the most memorable audio events aren’t the biggest ones. They’re the ones created by people who know their customers, love music, and understand that the best way to appreciate a great audio system is simply to sit down and listen.
That was the spirit behind the Auden x Moorgate Sheffield Audio Show, held October 17–18 at the beautiful Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa in Sheffield, England.
Organized by Bill Leigh of Auden Distribution and Paul and the team at Moorgate Acoustics, the two-day event brought together exceptional audio equipment, carefully assembled listening systems, and a shared enthusiasm for music. For EgglestonWorks, it was an opportunity to see six of our loudspeaker models represented at an event that reflected the dedication and initiative of two valued UK partners.
Something a Little Different
The Sheffield Audio Show wasn’t simply another stop on the traditional hi-fi exhibition calendar.
Instead, Auden Distribution and Moorgate Acoustics collaborated to create their own event, bringing together their respective experience as distributor and specialist retailer. The result was a more personal approach to an audio show, built around thoughtfully selected equipment and the opportunity to spend time listening.
The setting certainly helped.
Kenwood Hall’s elegant interiors, soaring windows, ornate architectural details, and beautifully appointed rooms provided an unusually memorable backdrop for high-performance audio. Rather than the familiar atmosphere of a large convention hall, the listening spaces felt inviting and distinctive.
It was an environment that suited the occasion, and a reminder that the surroundings can be an important part of the experience of discovering music and audio equipment.
What made the event particularly meaningful was the initiative behind it. Organizing an independent show requires a significant commitment of time, planning, equipment, and resources. Bill and Paul saw an opportunity to create something worthwhile for their customers and the wider audio community, and they made it happen.

Six Models, One Musical Philosophy
EgglestonWorks was represented by an unusually broad selection of loudspeakers: the Nico Evolution, Emma Evolution, Oso, Kiva II, Andra 5, and Viginti.
Together, these models offered visitors a look at the range of designs that have emerged from our workshop in Memphis, Tennessee.
From more compact loudspeakers to substantial floorstanding systems, each represents a different expression of the same underlying philosophy: careful engineering, exceptional craftsmanship, and a commitment to reproducing music with naturalness, scale, and emotional involvement.
The event also brought together complementary components from respected manufacturers, including Hegel, helping create complete listening systems rather than simply showcasing individual products.
Among the featured EgglestonWorks systems were the Andra 5 and Viginti, two designs that represent important chapters in our company’s history.
The Andra has been closely associated with EgglestonWorks since our earliest years, and the current Andra 5 carries that legacy forward through an extensively refined contemporary design. The Viginti, originally conceived in celebration of our twentieth anniversary, has likewise become one of our most recognizable loudspeakers.
Having these models represented alongside other members of the EgglestonWorks family made Sheffield a particularly welcome opportunity to introduce listeners to the breadth of our work.

Music, Listening, and a Little Recognition
One of the pleasures of an event like Sheffield is seeing how different listeners respond to different systems and, perhaps more importantly, to the music they choose to play.
The show also attracted coverage from HiFi PiG Magazine, whose reports offered independent impressions of several EgglestonWorks demonstrations.
The publication highlighted the scale, control, and detail of the Viginti system, as well as the Andra 5’s bass performance and ability to communicate musical nuance. The Emma Evolution also received favorable attention for its engaging, full-bodied presentation.
Of particular interest were accounts of visitors requesting familiar music, including selections from Florence + The Machine and Daft Punk. Those moments get to the heart of what these events should be about.
Technical specifications and equipment comparisons certainly have their place, but ultimately the most meaningful connection happens when someone sits down, hears a recording they know well, and discovers something new in it.
We’re pleased that EgglestonWorks was part of those experiences in Sheffield, and appreciative of the attention the event received from the audio press.
The People Who Make It Possible
For a company like EgglestonWorks, international partnerships are about considerably more than getting loudspeakers from Memphis to another part of the world.
They’re about working with people who understand the products, believe in what we’re trying to accomplish, and take the initiative to introduce them to music lovers in their own communities.
Bill Leigh and Auden Distribution have played an important role in representing EgglestonWorks in the United Kingdom. Through their collaboration with Paul Hobson and Moorgate Acoustics, the Sheffield Audio Show demonstrated what can happen when a distributor and retailer work together with a shared purpose.
The effort involved in organizing an event like this is easy to underestimate. From selecting and transporting equipment to arranging demonstration spaces and welcoming visitors, a great deal happens behind the scenes before anyone sits down to hear the first piece of music.
We appreciate that commitment, and we recognize the value it brings not only to EgglestonWorks but to the wider specialist audio community.
From Memphis to Sheffield
There’s something particularly satisfying about seeing loudspeakers built by our small team in Memphis become part of musical experiences thousands of miles away.
Every EgglestonWorks loudspeaker begins its life in our workshop, but its story continues wherever it finds an audience—whether in a private listening room, a recording studio, or an event like the Sheffield Audio Show.
We’re grateful to Bill Leigh, Paul, and everyone at Auden Distribution and Moorgate Acoustics for their work in bringing this event together, and for the enthusiasm and commitment they continue to bring to representing EgglestonWorks.
It’s a privilege to work with partners who are willing to create opportunities like this, and we’re proud to have been part of the weekend.
We look forward to the next one.
EgglestonWorks Around the World is an ongoing series celebrating the people, partnerships, and events that connect our Memphis-built loudspeakers with music lovers across the globe.
